I should have been participating with a group of artists in an art show at Silsden Town Hall over the Easter weekend but because this has been cancelled as a result of the Coronavirus it has become a virtual exhibition that will be on view until the end of April. I have included, in the on-line version, a selection from those images that I would have shown in the real show.
This exhibition in Blubberhouses Church continues over the Bank Holiday weekend and is really worth seeing. The work by all of the artists is of high quality because of the variety of techniques and skills on display. Photography, silk screen printing, etching, weaving and paintings that demonstrate a variety of approaches will appeal to visitors with broad interests. The church too is worth a visit because of its historical local association and if you are walking the reservoirs then there are excellent refreshments on sale too. I hope to see you there!
Seen lots of dragonflies around lately and that’s given me the incentive to continue this 3D work a bit further. I use to teach 3D at one time and this little foray has reminded me how much I enjoyed it. I think this may be the end of the road for this insect trail but I may do other things using different media.
I am exhibiting some of my work at Blubberhouses Church during the next two weekends along with several other artists. The exhibition is open from 11 until 4 each day and admission is free. I think that there will be an interesting collection of work and will be worth a visit.
